New Policies for Covid 19
In consultation with our national organizations, the CDC, and the Department of Health, we have implemented several new clinic wide policies to insure the safety of all patients and providers in the clinic.
Scheduling and cancellation: My schedule has been reduced to 9-5 Tuesday and Thursday , and Friday 9-12 due to the reduced space we have in the clinic to implement safe social distancing. I will have separate urgent care appointments available each week. If my new hours are a real problem for you, please reach out to me as I have some flexibility. Appointments for both telemedicine and acupuncture /herb appointments may now be scheduled online here: https://www.acupunctureissaquah.com/
Due to my reduced schedule, I will be strictly enforcing my 24 hour cancellation policy. However, If you are ill, please stay home and we will convert your appointment to telemedicine. In the time of COVID, I believe proactively treating even mild upper respiratory or GI illness is the best preventative measure we have. symptoms through the tIhave significant experience treating COVID like symptoms through our research study at the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine
Screening: Please refrain from coming to the clinic if you have had a known exposure to COVID 19 illness or symptoms in the last 14 days. Before each visit you will be asked if you have had any of these symptoms in the last 48 hours and if you have had them, we will convert the appointment to telemedicine exclusively.
• Cough
• Shortness of breath
• Fever
• NEW Sore throat
• NEW GI symptoms
• NEW Fatigue
• NEW Body Aches (not related to working out)
• NEW Loss of Smell
What to Expect When You Come In For Treatment:
1. Please stay in your car or outside until you are called for your appointment. I will be doing the l consultation part of your appointment on the porch outside the office.
2. We will be taking your temperature with a “no-touch thermometer and blood oxygen test with a pulse oximeter before you enter the office.
3. Please come to your appointment wearing a mask for the duration of your time in the clinic, unless you have a medical condition that excludes its use. If you do not have one, we will provide you with one at a cost of $2.00. For your protection, I will be wearing a surgical mask for the duration of your treatment.
4. Best efforts will be made to have only one patient in common areas at a time while you are here. We are only allowing one patient per practitioner at a time on alternating schedules to allow for appropriate social distancing and ample time for a full clinic cleaning and airing out of rooms between each patient. We are not currently using the waiting room, waiting room water, chairs or linens to limit exposure. There may be other cars in our parking lot for the construction workers next door.
5. There will be hand sanitizer in the waiting area Please use it when you arrive and before you leave. Of course, there is also a sink with soap and water in the bathroom that everyone may use for hand washing.
7. I am grateful that we have many open windows in our clinic and we will be making full use of the air flow from outside to reduce our exposure risk. IT MAY BE COLDER OR WARMER IN THE CLINIC FOR THIS REASON. Please dress appropriately and bring an extra blanket with you if you would like.
8. Rescheduling and payment. I will send you a statement via email for any balance on your account along with a paypal link and appointment link for rescheduling. You are welcome to pay that way or send a check.
Thank you for your understanding. May you and yours remain safe and well. I look forward to seeing you soon!
Warmly ,
Christina Jackson, L.Ac.
